Real Madrid vs Valencia: Asensio scores twice as Zidane’s men drop points

Marco Asensio was Real Madrid’s saviour on Sunday night, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Asensio opened scoring for the La Liga champions, cutting in from the right and blasting the ball past Neto from 18 yards.
The visitors levelled through Carlos Soler, as Marcelino Garcia Toral’s team began to pile up the pressure.
Valencia then went ahead against the run of play in the 77th minute, when Geoffrey Kondogbia finished off a fine team move into the bottom corner.
With Madrid staring at defeat in the face, Asensio stepped up to curl a home low free-kick, before Karim Benzema missed two late chances to win the game.
